At Virtual Physio, our approach to physical therapy is unique and tailored to each individual patient. As concierge physical therapists, we are able to provide a more personalized experience compared to traditional physical therapy.

With a smaller patient base, we are able to spend more time with each individual, allowing us to focus on their specific needs and goals. We are able to improve the convenience of therapy by seeing you either in-person or virtually from the comfort of your own home or office.

In addition to traditional physical therapy techniques, we also offer wellness coaching and nutrition support to support our patients’ overall health and well-being. At Virtual Physio, we believe in taking a holistic approach to physical therapy, and are dedicated to helping our patients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Choosing a concierge physical therapist has many benefits. With a smaller patient base, concierge physical therapists are able to provide more personalized attention and individualized care, helping to achieve improved therapy outcomes.

The convenience of therapy in the comfort of your own home or office eliminates the need for travel to a clinic, and the option for flexible scheduling can fit into even the busiest of schedules.

At Virtual Physio, we also offer additional services, such as wellness coaching and nutrition support, to support your overall health and well-being. With our comprehensive approach, patients are able to recover faster and return to normal activities more quickly.

Overall, using a concierge physical therapist offers a more personalized, convenient, and effective physical therapy experience.

At Virtual Physio, each patient is given personalized attention. We consider the whole body, not just the specific pain or injury, and aim to comprehend the underlying cause of the problem.

Our treatment plan is customized to address the sources of your pain and help you regain an active lifestyle. Physical therapy requires effort, but many patients report improvement after just a few visits. It usually takes 3 to 5 sessions to see significant changes, and we continue to work on strengthening you even after the pain subsides to prevent future occurrences.

The total number of visits required varies for each individual, but our typical patient has about 8-12 visits. To provide a clearer picture for your specific case, we offer a free comprehensive exam.

Our patients also learn self-care techniques, activity modifications, and exercises to maintain their fitness, health, and mobility without relying on medication, injections, or surgery.

Absolutely! Our concierge physical therapy services can be delivered in the comfort of your home, or at any other location that is convenient for you, including your workplace, gym, or a local park.

We understand that every patient has different needs and preferences, so we are happy to meet you wherever is most convenient for you. And if you prefer, we can also offer virtual therapy sessions, providing a convenient alternative to in-person visits.

Our team of physical therapists is made up of highly qualified individuals, each with a Doctorate degree in their field. They are experts in their chosen areas of treatment and dedicated to providing the best possible care to their patients.

We are an out-of-network physical therapy provider and do not directly participate with any insurance companies, including Medicare. This allows us to provide you with the most individualized care and attention based on your specific needs.

After each session, you will be provided a superbill (at your request) that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Please note that we do not handle insurance claims, and it is your responsibility to check your plan’s benefits and submit them for reimbursement.

Contact your insurance provider for information about typical out-of-network reimbursement rates. *We do accept HSA and FSA as payment options for services, including our coaching and wellness services.

Virtual Physio’s services are priced based on the type of treatment required.

It’s important to note that we don’t participate with insurance companies and are considered out-of-network. However, we can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

We do accept payments from Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs). Additionally, we offer several payment options, such as credit/debit cards and online payment platforms.

For more information about the costs and payment methods, please reach out to Virtual Physio directly.

We do accept HSA and FSA as payment options for all services, including our coaching and wellness services.

Most non-Medicare patients can claim reimbursement from their insurance company for their treatments by submitting self-claims. To do this, you can download claim forms from your insurance company’s website and submit them along with the required receipts and treatment codes that can be obtained from your physical therapist.

The amount of reimbursement or contribution to your deductible will vary based on your insurance plan.

For Medicare beneficiaries, the US government states that as we are not participating Medicare providers, we can only treat Medicare beneficiaries if they request that Medicare not be involved in the payment for their physical therapy services. In this case, if you are a Medicare beneficiary and wish to receive physical therapy services from us, you must request that Medicare not be involved in the payment, and do so before receiving treatment. If you do wish to use your Medicare benefits, we cannot provide treatment to you but can assist you in finding a participating Medicare provider in your area.

Individual results may vary, but our team of physical therapists will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan to meet your specific needs and goals.

The faster you seek treatment after an injury or onset of pain, the quicker you can recover and get back to your normal activities. Delaying treatment can make the injury more difficult to fix and increase the risk of additional injuries.

Our team of physical therapists at Virtual Physio can help you with the initial healing process and determine the best course of action to help you recover.

(If you’re postpartum, we suggest starting treatment with us as early as 4 weeks after a vaginal birth or 6 weeks after a cesarean birth for the best results.)

Yes! It is absolutely recommended you work with our women’s and pelvic health experts during your pregnancy.

Most of our clients start working with us during their first trimester and have outstanding results when it comes to mitigating pain or pelvic health issues during pregnancy, as well as reducing total labor time and complications during birth.

At Virtual Physio, we believe in providing personalized physical therapy to help you achieve your individual goals and recover quickly. Our therapists are highly skilled and trained in the latest techniques, and they provide one-on-one sessions with full attention.

Our approach eliminates the “one size fits all” treatment, resulting in quicker and more effective results with fewer appointments. We offer in-home treatment for added comfort and convenience and have the flexibility and resources to provide unlimited time and attention for recovery.

Our fees are transparent and can be covered with FSA/HSA. In contrast, bigger hospital systems and traditional insurance clinics usually have physical therapists working with multiple patients simultaneously, resulting in less personalized attention and longer recovery time.

Choose Virtual Physio for a tailored and comfortable physical therapy experience.

We stand out from others by taking a holistic and active approach to treating pain and injuries. Unlike traditional physical therapy, which primarily focuses on passive treatments such as modalities, stretching, and massage, we empower our clients to take an active role in their rehab through prescriptive exercise and education. Additionally, we employ advanced practices like myofascial release, trigger point dry needling, and blood flow restriction training to help your body heal itself and achieve faster results.

Our practitioners prioritize personalized care, dedicating a full hour of one-on-one time with each client during every session. By focusing on the root cause of the problem and incorporating advanced techniques, we can often resolve pain and injuries in fewer visits than you would get at other clinics.

At Virtual Physio, our ultimate goal is to not only alleviate your pain and injuries but also equip you with the skills and knowledge to manage your own health moving forward.

Logistics and Policies

We have been successfully delivering exceptional results to our clients through both in-person and telehealth visits for years. While some conditions may benefit from an in-person session, many can be effectively treated through our secure online platform. During your initial consultation, we will create a personalized plan based on your unique needs and condition, which may involve a combination of in-person and remote visits or all of one or the other. If you have any concerns, do not hesitate to discuss them with your therapist during your first visit as we are dedicated to guiding you towards the best possible outcomes.

Typically, physical therapy sessions last between 30-60 minutes. Unlike traditional insurance-based practices, we believe in giving you control over your recovery journey. That’s why we empower you to work collaboratively with your physical therapist to determine the best number and frequency of appointments for your unique needs. Whether you decide to work with us for several visits or several years, you can rest assured knowing that you will receive the care and support you need to reach your goals.

During the initial phase of treatment, most patients are seen once a week, with visits gradually becoming less frequent as they make progress. On average, patients start to see significant results between their 3rd and 5th sessions and typically require 8-12 visits in total. The typical timeline for treatment is around three months.

It’s hard to predict exactly how many sessions a client will need as it varies greatly depending on factors like injury severity, age, health conditions, and the client’s own goals and effort towards recovery.

Our experts will conduct a thorough evaluation and provide a personalized treatment plan with an estimated time frame for full recovery. On average, clients work with our team for a minimum of 3 months, with sessions spaced out to ensure long-lasting results.

Our aim is to help you recover and get back to your favorite activities as soon as possible. While taking a break from a painful activity may be necessary at times, we strive to allow you to continue with your sport or exercise routine to the best of your ability during treatment.

Our goal is to keep you engaged and active rather than stopping your activities completely. With a focus on restoring your full capabilities, we consider your recovery complete only when you can perform your desired activities without pain.

No, special equipment is not required. Your physical therapist will work with what you have available and may bring a few items with them. In most cases, your own body weight will be sufficient for the exercises prescribed.

For physical therapy patients, it is important to have access to visibly examine, palpate and treat your body, muscles and tissues directly. Please dress in comfortable athletic attire such as loose-fitting shorts, a sleeveless shirt/tank top/sports bra, and sneakers.

To make sure we follow the rules set by the government, you must be in a state where your physical therapist has a valid license when receiving care. If you’re looking for physical therapy with us, you must be in Leesburg and Chantilly.

If you are outside of the state we can still see you, but it will have to be a wellness visit that cannot include therapeutic rehab services. Alternatively you can join our health coaching program for a comprehensive solution that you can do from anywhere in the world!

Our cancellation policy requires that patients provide at least 24 hours notice before cancelling an appointment. If a patient fails to give sufficient notice, they will forfeit the cost of the visit. However, exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the treating physical therapist. We understand that unexpected events can occur, but we ask for your cooperation in giving us ample notice so that we can accommodate other patients who may be in need of care.
